Laura Lukac Sancin, a native of Trieste and an Esperantist of long standing, is a part of the group running the Ivan Grbec Cultural Circle of Trieste and the related Women’s Choir.  She writes poems full of sentimentality which are dedicated above all to friendship between peoples, to peace, to nature.  In the Ivan Grbec Cultural Circle the old customs of the Slovene minority are cultivated; amongst these are embroidery using old lace of great significance, together with the creation of the traditional costumes of Servola (a district of Trieste), the celebration of particular anniversaries and the reading of literary extracts.  Laura is one of the most active and entrepreneurial members.
