Dalia Pileckienė was born in Telšiai, Lithuania, and now lives in the city of Trakai, one of the most beautiful towns in the country, in a region full of lakes. The lake facing Trakai is marked by an island from which a fourteenth century castle rises. We show a picture of it on this page.
Dalia is married and has two daughters. She took her degree in the engineering management of restaurants and cafes and, in 1988, in commercial administration, at the Technological University of Kaunas in 1986. In 2004, still at Kaunas, she received the diploma of the Gestalt Therapy Study Centre. In 2007 she obtained a diploma at the University of Vilnius in social services and the management of assisting organisations.
Up to 2002 she worked as an enterprise manager in the hospitality field. She is now a free-lance in the field of enterprise administration and organisation and teaches business organisation. She knows and teaches the international language, Esperanto, and has taken part in many international meetings and study seminars, both in Lithuania and in other countries.
Dalia Pileckienė has lent her voice to Francesca da Rimini and read the relevant verses (88-142) in the Lithuanian translation by Aleksys Churginas.
