Anastasia Vilkova was born in Astrakhan, one of the principal cities in the south of European Russia on the Volga river. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Modern Letters in the University of Astrakhan where she specialised in linguistic history with particular emphasis on old Russian. Dalia Pileckienė was born in Telšiai, Lithuania, and now lives in the city of Trakai, one of the most beautiful towns in the country, in a region full of lakes.  The lake facing Trakai is marked by an island from which a fourteenth century castle rises.  We show a picture of it on this page. Susanna Kwon (Kwon Soo-Jung), a soprano, took her degree at the Seoul Music University and since 1995 has lived in Italy where she has come to maturity with C. Castellani, R. O. Malaspina, N. RUMANIAN – Maria Butan

Daughter of a music teacher, Maria Butan was born in Caransebeş, a mountain town in Rumania in the Banato region.  Music and poetry cradled her during childhood and her schooldays when she sang in choruses and won a few recitation competitions.  After university in Cluj she returned as a language teacher in Timişoara, the capital of Banato, where she taught French, initially in a lycée and subsequently in the faculty of philology.  During that time she organized French and Rumanian poetry events and literary evenings.
