Edvige Tantin Ackermann was born in Trieste, where she lives with her Austrian husband and (for the moment) two cats.

She speaks and uses the international language Esperanto since 1956 and was encharged with a good number of commitments in both national and international scale. She is an organizer, was active in two national and several international conferences and has been the president of Trieste Esperanto Association during many years.  Furthermore, she is the manager of Deutsches Hilfsverein and Friedrich Schiller Cultural Association, both with seat in Trieste.

She loves music in general, especially opera,  and in particular the “Francesca da Rimini” as well, of the Italian composer Riccardo Zandonai.

An enthusiastic traveller, she visited many countries, including Alaska, Brazil, Mongolia, Armenia, which she hopes to visit again.
