Anastasia  Kouveli was born in Greece and moved to Italy years ago. She studied philosophy at the University of Trieste. She is now a teacher of Modern Greek at the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in Trieste and at the schools Dante Alighieri and France Prešeren of the same town. She has been a teacher of Modern Greek language and literature at the United World College of the Adriatic in Duino (TS). She lives and works in Trieste.
