We pay homage to Jacqueline Risset, who has left us

Jacqueline Risset, the highly acclaimed French poetess, lady of letters and Italian specialist, passed away in Rome on September 3rd  2014.  Her translation of the Divine Comedy contributed enormously to making Dante known and loved in the French-speaking world.  Her death is a serious loss.  We of Dantepoliglotta wish to honour the memory of Jacqueline Risset and to express how grateful we are to her by republishing with special emphasis the web page below and by again presenting her reading of Dante’s verses about Francesca [...]
